Serena Anderlini-D’Onofrio, Ph.D., is a writer, scholar, activist, translator, and
public speaker. She is also a Professor of Humanities and
Italian at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez. Her
current interests include human and global ecology, erotic
expression, and emotional sustainability. |
Serena’s first book, The “Weak” Subject: On Modernity,
Eros, and Women’s Playwriting (1998) is a comparative
study of women’s authorship in the modern theater. Its
Italian translation has appeared for ManifestoLibri
by the title of "Due in Una" (2004). The edited volumes she
has contributed to include Natalia Ginzburg: A Voice of
the Twentieth Century, Feminine Feminists: Cultural
Practices in Italy, and Franca Rame: A Woman Onstage.
For the community based Journal of Bisexuality she has guest
edited two special-topics issues, Women and Bisexuality:
A Global Perspective (June, 2003); and Plural Loves:
Designs for Bi and Poly Living (February 2005), both of
which are also available as books from Haworth Press. Her
English translation of Luigi Anderlini’s poetry collection,
A Lake for the Heart, has appeared with Gradiva
Publications in 2005. Her memoir, Eros: A Journey of
Multiple Loves, has appeared with Harrington Park Press
in December 2006. Her book of applied cultural theory On
the Politics of Love and the Globe’s Future is in
preparation with an academic press. Readings about her
books have been hosted by UC Berkeley, the Belladonna
Bookstore in Berkeley, the Bluestockings Bookstore in New
York City, and the Obelisk Bookstore in San Diego.
Journals that have hosted her articles and oral-history
interviews include Diacritics, DisClosure, Feminist
Studies, Literature, Consciousness, and the Arts, Nebula,
New Cinemas, Rhizomes, Theater, VIA: Voices in Italian
Americana, Women and Language, and Women’s Studies
International Forum. She is the co-translator of In
Spite of Plato, a book of feminist theory by Italian
philosopher Adriana Cavarero, for Polity Press, 1995.

Cougar Brenneman
is trained as a clinical hypnotherapist and
counselor, but his most interesting work has been his
book project, The Global Wisdom System
Handbook.

The Chrysalis Wisdom Council is part
of this book, which currently
contains 300 methodologies that are drawn from wisdom sources
from around
the planet, from Taoism to Jungian psychology, from Tibetan
Buddhism to
hypnotherapy, from Christianity to Hawaiian shamanism.
For three years, Cougar taught a meditation group that met every
two weeks
to test these methods, including the Chrysalis Wisdom Council.
In addition,
he's taught the Wisdom Council to hundreds of other people, who
have used it
to save poly relationships, to come to terms with impending
death, to
resolve conflict, to clarify plans, and to restructure their
lives by
reinventing themselves.
Cougar has identified as polyamorous all of his life, starting
twenty-five
years before the term was even invented. As a teenager, he
dreamed of a
group marriage of six people. Since then, he's lived both in a
triad and in
an open vee, during which he lived half of the week with Tana
and half with
his other sweety.

mystical school at the age of 17. He continued his

is affiliated with Church of All Worlds, a real life

Scott Catamas
Scott has been actively involved with exploring Sacred
Sexuality, Tantra and Alternative Lifestyles for over 25
years. He is an EMMY award winning writer and producer,
with a long list of credits. He has created hundreds of
hours of television programming for HBO, FOX, NBC, UPN,
SHOWTIME and national syndication. He wrote and
produced a popular feature film, entitled MEN IN LOVE,
that presented Sacred Sexuality and Homo-Erotic Passion
in a very positive way.
Scott
has a long history of combining his talents and
interests in communication, with themes that stretch
well beyond the mainstream. He has played a role in
introducing many new ideas, authors, visionaries,
teachers and concepts to the world via film, television,
theatre, and even web sites.
As
co-founder of THE LOVE TEMPLE in Bel Air, Scott hosted

Active in the San Francisco Bay Area poly community
since 1996, Dawn & Akien have been serving as
relationship coaches since 1998, mentoring others to
create extraordinary relationships with their partners
and with themselves. Akien and Dawn have conducted
workshops on relationship development (including at the
last three West Coast Loving More conferences), and have
created study groups on personal growth, safer sex, and
various poly issues. They have been interviewed for
television on the subject of polyamory, with segments
appearing in Los Angeles and Sweden, and are the hosts
of the San Leandro Poly Pool Party. They have been
married for approaching 15 years, have two amazing
children, and are dedicated to creating intentional
extended family and community.
Dawn Davidson had her first conscious poly experience in
Georgia in 1984, and has gone on to experience many
varieties and forms of poly-dating -relating and
-loving. She holds a bachelor's degree in Genetics from
UC Berkeley, has visited Japan to sing with her Early
Music quartet (with whom she has sung for more than 20
years) and enjoys canning, costuming and cats, among her
many other interests. Making connections among people
and being a clearinghouse for information is something
she does on the same level as breathing.
Akien
has been poly for more than 20 years,
though he only found out there was a name for it 10
years ago. His progress in this field has been a direct
result of marrying. Primarily self-educated, he's avidly
pursued learning in many less-traditional ways,
including workshops on relationships and
self-development with Landmark Education, Dan Millman
and Lori Starr. His
wide-ranging interests include neurochemistry,
comparative religion, relationships, history, and
broadsword fighting. He believes that we're all our own
best teachers.

Francisco, M.A.
Anita has devoted her life to the
study and mastery of the human condition,
emotional awareness, sexuality and
relationships.

David Doleshal.
Ph.D. Dave has a
Doctorate in psychology from the University of California,
Irvine. He has been studying innovative techniques for the
treatment of emotional issues for more than 20 years - most
especially methods related to jealousy management and the
healing of emotional traumas. Dave is the facilitator of the
Polyamory Support Group in Berkeley, California, and is one of
the co-founders of the World Polyamory Association. He is also
the director of Saturnia Regna, - a Political Action
Committee specifically organized for the promotion of the cause
